Life Lessons

From my GP tutor in Junior College.

The words are printed on a small piece of paper that measures 6cm x 6cm. I’ve kept it for 3 years now, and the ink is fading. I’m afraid I’ll lose it all, so here it is…

Don’t stereotype.
Because you would not want someone to misunderstand you.

Get to the truth.
Because things are rarely simple and the truth is not always apparent.

Build character.
Because integrity and tenacity are qualities you need today.

Have a community.
Because people matter and we are always stronger together.

Have a heart.
Because apathy, cynicism, and silence are your enemies.

Always have hope.
Because you would want someone to believe in you too.

“May this always remind you of the most valuable lessons in life.”

Thank you… I will remember them. Always.
