Yes that’s a 42Below Vodka. No we weren’t in New Zealand, though I wish we were.
This happened some time in April this year, when I left my previous company and we had a farewell drinking session.
My senior designer brought us to Forbidden City because she wanted me to experience this “cold cold place”. She promised me that it’s going to be “很爽的”, so I said “okay onz!”
Turned out it wasn’t just a “cold cold place”, it’s a bloody fucking freezing cold place purely made out of ICE!
Yes you read that right. Ice table, ice stools, ice benches. Everything that can be touched – besides the vodka bottles, of course – is made out of ICE!
We each ordered a shot of flavoured vodka (mine was passionfruit) because that is a must, once you enter that room of negative 7 degree Celsius. That shot of vodka keeps you warm, anyway. But sadly not for long. Hahaha!

It was a really cool place. It’s a pity the rest of the group didn’t/couldn’t join us inside. We had a fun time chilling out, literally. Hehe. ^-^
