This afternoon while lazing in my room, I decided I need some soothing English music. I’m a little sick of Mandarin pop! So I searched my CD drawer and I found… THE CORRS!
The Corrs – Talk on Corners [1997]
As the CD started spinning, it reminded me of my brother and I when we were still young and innocent, about say, a decade ago.
I would lay on the grey couch in my brother’s room and the both of us would listen to the music of Spice Girls, S Club 7 and The Corrs. That was before we discovered JRock.
Both of us love The Corrs. As we listened we would talk, and once, we had this conversation about forming a band together. As in, a family band like The Corrs.
He said that we should both form a band and call ourselves The Pangs. To which I retorted with disgust that The Pangs doesn’t sound nice at all lah! And anyway, there are just the 2 of us. The Corrs has 4 members!
Then he suggested that maybe when we’re older, we would have our own boyfriend and girlfriend respectively, and then we could form a 4-person band, and then we can think of another name.
Hahaha… how cute, come to think of it.
Well, I found mine. My boy can play the drums, I can play the piano/cello, my brother can play the guitar.
But where is his girlfriend?!
Do you think that there is a possibility that… he has long forgotten that we had this conversation once upon a time?
